The Faculty of Automatic Control and Computers of University Politehnica of Bucharest and the Faculty of Engineering of University of Porto agree to collaborate for the realization of university training with the final aim to confer a double master degree on the disciplinary area Service Engineering and Management.
This agreement offers to the students of the University Politehnica of Bucharest, Faculty of Automatic Control and Computers and the University of Porto, Faculty of Engineering, the opportunity of receiving a double diploma: one from the home institution and one by the host institution.

These Master programs respond to the present worldwide demand for service innovation. The scale and complexity of globally dispersed service systems is growing rapidly and the importance of using resources efficiently, effectively and in a sustainable manner is rising, as service activities become an ever greater part of value creation in modern economies.
Given the similar level of qualification, of the scientific area, and of the similar goals of both programs of study, as well as the quality requirements of both universities and the general results expected from both programs, the two institutions agree to collaborate in awarding double diplomas to all students who meet the curriculum that is defined for such purpose.
Students from the University of Porto, Faculty of Engineering, should select courses from the following list of courses at UPB:
The list of courses at UPB can be updated on-demand upon bilateral agreement to improve the skills to be provided in the DD Program.
Students from the University Politehnica of Bucharest should select courses from the following list of courses at FEUP:
The list of courses at FEUP can be updated on-demand upon bilateral agreement to improve the skills to be provided in the DD Program.
Students are advised to clarify the details of the courses to be pursued at the host institution before the start of the semester with both the DDM-SEM program coordinator of the home and host institution.
The UPB and FEUP master programs share a common body of knowledge on service engineering, but they also have a different character: while the emphasis of the UPB master stays more on technology and systems, the FEUP master has a stronger orientation to business and market needs.
Therefore, the Double Degree program will offer an opportunity for:
- FEUP student aiming at further develop their skills on the enabling technologies for service management
- UPB Students aiming at develop their skills on business services design.
