The INSEED project aims to create a modern framework for training and skills forming in higher education in science, design and services management (SPMS) and to promote innovation in service industry based on a model of open, continuous education and cloud type distributed computing infrastructure with virtualized resources and accesible as services, interconnected at European structures.
WP3.1. Define the architecture, functionality, performance and management criteria of the distributed collaborative platform for sharing of learning resources, research and innovation promotion in SPMS; development and testing the platform

Specific activities year I:

  • A3.1.1. Setting up local nodes distributed infrastructure, network and administrative services. Virtualization of resources (servers, storage, network) and aggregation [Setup IT infrastructure as a service] delivery of services with flexible scalability
  • A3.1.2. Developing service-oriented computing architecture (SOA) middleware optimization: exploiting image, integrated security, load management, high availability [platform as a service configuration: database, development tools, Web 2.0, Java]
  • A3.1.3. Develop service management system: (1) user applications / services automatic, (2) life cycle of services (images, dynamic supply, performance management, availability / backup / restore, security, traceability) [software as a configuration service]

  • A3.1.4. Physical realization of distributed resource sharing platform for learning and promote innovation in CPIOMS services: installation, integration of local resources / standards-based interfaces, Internet connection, e-learning management, collaboration and database access
